GREENWOOD, Ind. --- Yahir Ocampo Navarro gave the Western Oregon men's soccer program another first Tuesday as he was selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-American Second Team.
Ocampo Navarro, who became the 4-year-old WOU men's soccer program's first All-American last week (named to the first team), earned the honor thanks to a 3.78 GPA combined with being named the GNAC Player of the Year, first team all-conference, all-region and All-American. He led the Wolves in goals (7), assists (6) and points (20) while playing in all 20 games.
The junior midfielder led the Wolves to their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and GNAC regular season title while also winning the inaugural men's soccer GNAC Championships crown.
