AT A GLANCE: The Wolves are coming off a GNAC-opening, four-game sweep at home of Central Washington behind strong pitching from
Abby Stansbury - who went 2-0 and gave up just one earned run in tossing two complete games - and
Kennedy Abbas - who also went 2-0 and tossed two complete games while giving up just three earned runs and added 11 strikeouts. At the plate,
Victoria Zimmerman was 5-for-10 in the series with a triple, four runs, two RBI and two stolen bases, Mdelyyne Hommell went 4-for-9 with a double, two runs, three RBI and two stolen bases and
Kate Ronning went 5-for-13 with a homer, double, three RBI and two runs.
Western Washington is coming off a road split at Saint Martin's - dropping the first and third game while run-ruling the Saints in the second and fourth game. Third baseman Maleah Andrews continues to lead the team in hitting with a GNAC-leading .514 average (22nd in D-II) to go along with two homers, three triples, 10 doubles, 18 RBI and 20 runs. Kaiana Kong (2.50 ERA, 30 SO, 36 IP), Joie Baker (3.00 ERA, 44 SO, 51 IP) and Alli Kimball (3.99 ERA, 23 SO, 38.1 IP) have thrown all but 10.2 innings for the Vikings this season.
These teams met three times in Monmouth earlier this season in non-GNAC contests with WWU winning all three games.

AT A GLANCE: Five Wolves are in Indianapolis this week to compete in a combined three events at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The DMR team of Rodriguez, Murphy, Bohannon and Sanchez come in at the highest seed as they are seventh out of the 12 teams that qualified with a time of 9:40.72 (No. 2 on WOU's all-time list). Rodriguez will also be competing in the 800 prelims earlier in the day Friday - entering 17th out of 18 with a time of 1:50.15 (he'll be in heat 3). If he qualifies for the finals, that will be 10:10 a.m. (PT) Saturday.Â
Mark Warren enters Friday's weight throw with a school-record mark of 19.42 meters - which is No. 16 out of 18 heading into the event.
