Wolves announce WOU Athletics Hall of Fame 2025 Class

MONMOUTH – The Western Oregon Athletic Department is excited to announce its 2025 Wolves Athletics Hall of Fame class that includes track and field coach Mike Johnson along with track and field athletes David Ribich, Dustin Nading, Suzanne Van de Grift Mosmon, Olivia Woods Ribich and the 4x400 team of Van de Grift Mosmon, Woods Ribich, Megan Rose Marson and Grayson Burke.

The Wolves Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set for Oct. 17 as part of homecoming weekend. A reception will begin in the Werner University Center at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and the induction ceremony. If you are interested in attending, please use this link:  Register for the event here.

Johnson was the head track and field and cross country at WOU from 2004-20 and finished with 13 team GNAC titles between indoors, outdoors and cross country. Countless student-athletes earned All-American honors under his watch – including the rest of the inductees in this 2025 class.

Ribich is the most decorated track and field student-athlete in Wolves history, winning consecutive outdoor national titles in the 1,500 (2017-18) and as part of the distance medley relay team (2017-18). In the 2018 DMR, Ribich ran the anchor – picking off more than a half dozen racers to win WOU the title, running that final 1,600 with a sub-3:56 split. Ribich also reached all-time Division II marks in the indoor mile (3:58.88 – still the only WOU athlete to break the 4-minute mark), 1,000 (2:21.38) and indoor 3,000 (7:50.81) – still holding the school record in those events as well as the outdoor 1,500 (3:37.35) and as part of the 2017 DMR (9:40.15).

Nading is a three-time national champion as part of the DMR national title teams in 2017 and 2018 and winning the 2018 national title in the mile. Overall, he was a six-time All-American for the Wolves before closing out his career at Washington. Nading is still No. 2 in WOU history in the outdoor 1,500 (3:42.38) and the indoor 3,000 (8:10.82).

Woods Ribich is a six-time All-American along with being the school record holder in the indoor and outdoor 400 (outdoor: 56.01, indoor: 56.71) and 800 (outdoor: 2:05.91, indoor: 2:08.44) along with the indoor 600 (1:34.51). She took third in the 800 at the 2017 outdoor nationals

Van de Grift Mosman is a four-time All-American still the WOU record holder in the 1,500 (4:23.87) and 1,000 (2:54.23) – wrapping up her career with a fourth-place finish at nationals in the 1,500 (which is where she set the school record).

The 4x400 team earned All-American honors in 2018 by taking eighth at nationals with a time of 3:44.58. The team of Van de Grift, Woods, Rose and Burke set the school record in the event during prelims with a time of 3:41.80. They also own the school record for indoor at 3:51.18.
