MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon men's cross country team took the top four and six of the top nine spots while the Wolves women claimed two of the top three spots at the Ash Creek Invitational on Friday.

Matthew Resnik paced the Wolves men by winning the 6K event with a time of 17 minutes, 43.9 seconds - beating teammate Zander Campbell by nearly seven seconds (17:50.6). Remedan Seman took third at 17:53.8 quickly followed by Ethan Bothwell in fourth (17:54.0).

On the women's side, Kyla Potratz led the Wolves by finishing the 5K race in 17:54 to take second - only behind Simon Fraser's Raiya Matonovich (17:43.9). WOU's Adele Beckstead took third (18:04.4) while Nettle Grey took sixth (18:26.1) and Ali Heinly finished seventh (18:35.7).

The Wolves will be back in action at home Sept. 26 hosting the Mike Johnson Classic.
