MONMOUTH, Ore. - Kyle Larson of the Western Oregon men's track & field team was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Men's Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 21-27.

Larson, a senior from Lake Stevens, Wash. (Lake Stevens High School), earned his first career provisional national qualifying mark posting the fourth fastest time in GNAC history in the men's mile at the SPU Last-Chance. Larson covered the mile in a time of 4:10.17 to finish second to teammate Chris Reed (4:10.12) at the Seattle Pacific Last Chance meet. Larson's time also propelled him into second in school history.

Larson, along with four other provisional qualifiers for the Wolves, will await their fate on Nationals which will be announced on Tuesday, Mar. 1.
