EUGENE, Ore.
- Jason Slowey continues establish himself as one of the best throwers in Western Oregon history as he etched his name onto another spot in the record book. The senior's latest feat was recording a throw of 168-8 (51.40m) in the discus at the Oregon Twilight to ascend to third place in school history.

That throw was 2-4 further than his previous career mark which he set during the 2009 season. He also moves into fourth place in Great Northwest Athletic Conference history. Slowey now owns the top mark in the shot put and the hammer, while sitting fourth in the hammer.

Ryan Chapman finished second in the men's 3,000 meter steeple chase to improve his 10th place mark in school history to 9:23.32. Chapman had previously moved onto the all-time list at the Beach Invitational last week.

Janelle Everetts placed third in the women's 800m section B race with a time of 2:15.39 and Connor Kasler finished fourth in the men's 1,500m run with a time of 3:55.85.

The Oregon Twilight will continue on Saturday, Apr. 23.
