OREGON RELAY RESULTS MT SAC RELAY RESULTSWALNUT, Calif. – Western Oregon University women's track and field student-athlete,
Madison McClung, matched the school record in the women's 100 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays Friday.
McClung raced to a 12.04 finish, equaling Heather Ewing's time set in 1994. McClung's time provisionally qualifies her for the NCAA Div. II National Championships. She remains the second fastest in the event in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference currently this season. It was also the fourth fastest in conference history.
At the Oregon Relays in Eugene,
Tyrell Williams placed second in the men's 200 meters. His 21.48 time is the top mark in the GNAC this season, and fourth on the WOU all-time list. It improved his GNAC automatic qualifying time, and was just off the 21.45 NCAA provisional mark. His new time is the sixth fastest in GNAC history.
Matson Hardie improved his conference championship provisional mark in the men's long jump. He had a top mark of 22-3.5 (6.79 meters) Friday.
In the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase,
Brady Beagley placed first with a time of 9:10.50. The senior already owns an NCAA provisional mark in the event with a season-best time of 9:07.66.
The Wolves will be competing at the Mt. SAC Relays, Oregon Relays, and Lewis and Clark Invitational Saturday.
