TITAN TWILIGHT RESULTS TRITON INVITE RESULTS MHCC FESTIVAL RESULTSSAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Western Oregon University women's 4x100-meter relay team ran the third fastest time so far this season in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference at the Triton Invitational hosted by the University of California-San Diego Saturday.
The Wolves' quartet of
Rochelle Pappel,
Madison McClung,
Audrey Hellesto and
Shanai Campbell ran a time of 48.17. The finish is the ninth fastest on the WOU all-time list. They finished fifth in the event Saturday.
Tyrell Williams won his heat of the 100 meters. The junior raced to a 10.78 finish, the third fastest time this season in the conference. The time was just off the WOU all-time list, but improved her automatic-qualifying time for the GNAC Championships May 9-10 in Monmouth. Williams placed fourth in the event Saturday.
In the men's 110-meter hurdles,
Kody Rhodes placed sixth with a time of 14.89.
Brett Campbell ran a season best time of 15.25, an auto-mark for the conference championships.
At the Mt. Hood Track and Field Festival in Gresham,
John Schifferer ran 56.05 in the 400-meter hurdles. It was a personal best by a second and a provisional qualifying time for the GNAC Championships for the freshman.
Thursday at the Titan Twilight in Eugene,
Neil Gravatt hit a conference provisional mark, winning the men's javelin at 177-5 (54.09 meters).
Emily Moe and
Eric Gaines will participate in the GNAC Multi-Event Championships in Ellensburg, Wash., Monday and Tuesday. The Wolves will complete their regular season Friday at the Pacific Twilight in Forest Grove and the OSU High Performance meet in Corvallis.
