JENN BOYMAN INVITE RESULTS STANFORD INVITE RESULTS SF STATE DISTANCE CARNIVAL RESULTSSAN FRANCISCO – The Western Oregon University women's and men's track and field teams posted several qualifying marks at a few meets Saturday.
At the Stanford Invitational,
Ryan Hansen improved his personal record in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:52.07. His time is a provisionally-qualifying mark for the NCAA Div. II National Championships. It also keeps the senior atop the Great Northwest Athletic Conference currently.
Madison McClung had a big day at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. The senior finished third place in the women's 100 meters with a time of 12.12. The time, which was just off of her personal best, is a NCAA provisional mark. She remains second currently in the GNAC. McClung also placed second in the 200 meters at 25.29. That time is a provisional-qualifying mark for the conference championships.
In the men's 110-meter hurdles,
Kody Rhodes hit a NCAA provisional mark. His time of 14.61 is third all-time on the WOU list. The senior now leads the conference with that time this season.
Tyrell Williams won the 100-meter and 200-meter races. The junior set a new Distance Carnival meet record in the 200 meters at 21.59. That finish improved his GNAC auto mark, keeps him atop the conference this season, and is sixth all-time on the WOU list. His first place finish in the 100 meters was another meet record in 10.91. It's another conference auto mark and currently fourth in the GNAC.
Jeff Howard placed second in the 100 meters Saturday. His time of 10.94 is a conference provisional mark.
Audrey Hellesto hit an automatic mark for the conference championships in the women's 400-meter hurdles. Her time of 1:04.29 is eighth all-time on the WOU list. She placed third in the event and is now second in the conference currently.
In the women's hammer throw,
Emmi Collier improved her GNAC Championship provisional mark with a toss of 144-3.
Seabre Church won the women's javelin at 149-11, while
Shane Brooks placed second on the men's side with a throw of 189-4.
At the Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational in McMinnville,
Zach Trask won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.56. That time provisionally qualifies him for the GNAC Championships.
