Field Sets Personal Bests at SOU

ASHLAND, Ore. – The athletes the Western Oregon Field Team had their best individual performances at the 2016 SOU Raider Invitational in Ashland. WOU continued to show personal bests that helped lead to a pair of event victories at the event.
 
Senior Emily Wetherell exceeded her best effort to win the hammer with a mark of 169 feet, 5 inches (51.64 meters). In the same event, sophomore Alecia Falck placed second and freshman Cheyanne Auchard posted an eight-foot personal best at 129-9 (39.55m). Auchard had the best placing in discus for WOU at 1-3 feet, 11 inches.
 
On the men's side, freshman Josh Brown led a trip of Wolves in the top five in hammer with a winning effort of 145-11 (44.48m). Kegan Allen finished fourth and Branden Bowen nabbed fifth. Bowen also tallied a personal best by three feet in the shot put to place third (47-4 ¼).
