INDIANAPOLIS – Western Oregon track & field will be sending seven student-athletes to the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Representing the Wolves on the men's side will be junior
David Ribich and sophomore
Dustin Nading in the 1,500 meters and senior
Wesley Gray in the triple jump. On the women's side, sophomore
Olivia Woods and juniors
Megan Rose and
Suzanne Van De Grift will compete in the 800m while sophomore Sheila Lima De La Cruz competes in the javelin.

In the final USTFCCCA poll of the regular season, the WOU men ranked 25
th in Division II with 41.29 points and ninth in the West Region with 175.13 points. For the women, they currently rank 14
th in the West with 117.22 points and 61
st in the nation (16.34).

Hosted by the University of Tampa and IMG Academy, the three-day championship meet will begin on Thursday, May 25, with the preliminaries of the men's 1,500 meters at 6:10 p.m. Eastern (3:10 p.m. Pacific). The triple jump final and prelims for the women's 800m is on Friday, May 26 while the finals for javelin, men's 1,500 and women's 800 are on Saturday.
