PORTLAND, Ore. – Dominic Giordano had a strong start to his outdoor season at Linfield over the weekend helping him earn Great Northwest Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Giordano, a junior from Lynnwood, Wash., competed in the 3k steeplechase coming away with the top time in the event crossing at 9:28.49. He helped lead a 1-2 finish for the Wolves in the event with Hunter Mosman coming in second.

The Wolves will continue the outdoor season this Saturday at Pacific University in Forest Grove, while the indoor season will wrap-up with the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships on Mar. 13-14 in Birmingham, Ala., as WOU will send the DMR team, along with Derek Holdsworth competing in the men's 800-meter.
