The Western Oregon men's soccer team's turnaround 2023 campaign continued to be recognized as Wolves junior forward Gabriel Silva was named United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Second Team and freshman midfielder Yahir Ocampo was named third team when the team's were announced Tuesday.

Silva, who was named All-GNAC First Team, finished fourth in the GNAC in goals (nine), second in shot accuracy (.543), shots per game (2.71) and shots on goal per game (1.47) and fifth in points per game (1.24) to go along with three assists in helping the team go from 2-13-2 in 2022 to 11-3-3 in 2023 - including 8-1-3 in GNAC play to finish second and just short of a conference title. Ocampo, who was named All-GNAC First Team as well as Conference Commissioners Association All-West Region Second Team, finished the season with three goals to go along with a team-best six assists - tied for third in the conference. He started 16 of the team's 17 games and played 1,326 minutes - sixth on the team.
