The Western Oregon track and field team was in both the Bay Area for the Mike Fanelli Track Classic (San Francisco) and the Stanford Invite while others were at the Pacific Open in Forest Grove.

At the Mike Fanelli, the 3,000 steeplechase saw two WOU top-10 marks in
Olivia Flack improving her time by 13 seconds to 11 minutes, 16.96 seconds while
Katie Chapman entered the top 10 at 11:41.91 – seventh on the list.

Riley Smith also entered the top 10 in WOU history in a distance event as she moved into the No. 9 spot in the 5000 with a time of 18:04.13 (teammate and 5000 WOU record holder
Caitlin Heldt ran a 17:42.49 at the event).

Freshman
Elwood Hosking just missed the WOU top 10 by .09 seconds in the 800 with a time of 1:51.83 – taking 15th out of 213 competitors.

The Wolves had a strong showing in the hammer throw as well as on the women's side
Emillia Carpenter took second at 47.22 meters while
Liliana Lyness-Morales took fourth (46.60). On the men's side,
Mark Warren took third in the hammer at 56.57.

At the Pacific Open,
Kalulusno Ngaida made the No. 10 spot on the WOU triple jump list at 11.58 meters (38 feet) to win the event.

The Wolves return to action Friday as they host the John Knight Twilight.
