The Wolves will bring likely their largest group to an indoor meet this season outside of the GNAC Championships when they compete at the UW Preview this week in Seattle. WOU will bring 42 student-athletes to the event with several making their season debut.
LAST TIME OUT ...
The Western Oregon track and field teams saw four program top-10 performances Saturday at the Spokane Invitational at The Podium.Â
Keeton Sanchez blazed his way to No. 10 on the WOU all-time 800 list by winning the event with a time of 1 minute, 52.17 seconds. It's also an NCAA D-II qualifying mark.Â
Mark Warren won the weight throw with a distance of 59 feet, 7 inches - a personal record that moves him to third on the WOU all-time list and to eighth on the GNAC all-time list. On the women's side, a pair of sprinters made the 60-meter all-time WOU top 10 in
Nerissa Thompson (7.82 - tied for fourth on the WOU all-time list) and
Annika Morrow (7.87 - tied for sixth on the school's all-time list).Â
