Tyler Reisnaur and
Lacey Meusec highlighted the Western Oregon track and field team's performance at the Brian Clay Invitational Friday, Apr. 17, as WOU claimed five spots atop the Great Northwest Athletic Conference performance list.
Reisnaur moved into second place in Western Oregon and GNAC history with a triple jump leap of 48-10 (14.88m). The mark earned Reisnaur an NCAA provisional qualifying standard and is the longest in the GNAC in five years. He went on to win the event at the Brian Clay Invitational. The mark is also the longest at Western Oregon since 1994 (Jim McCann).
Meusec moved into first place in the women's 100m and 200m with times of 12.31 and 25.24, respectively. Her time in the 200m moved her into a tie for fourth all-time in Western Oregon history. Her 100m time is also the sixth-best in GNAC history and her 200m time ranks her fifth all-time. Meusec's 100m time was .26 seconds better than her previous season-best time of 12.57 and her 200m time was .19 seconds better (25.43).
Ashtin Mott reclaimed the top mark in the men's 400m with a time of 48.84 besting his previous season-best time of 49.13.
Anthony Marin extended his lead in the men's hammer with a toss of 182-11 (55.76m).
In other action,
Andy Loscutoff ran a season-best time of 54.74 in the men's 400m hurdles to move into third in the conference while
Jason Slowey moved to second in the men's shot with a toss of 50-0.75 (15.27m). Slowey and Marin also moved into fifth and sixth place in the discus with marks of 149-5 (45.50m) and 143-9 (43.82m), respectively.
