Crosswhite Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

MONMOUTH, Ore. – Earning one of the top academic achievements in the country, Justin Crosswhite was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Second Team on Wednesday.

Having landed on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team back in July, Crosswhite then advanced to the All-America ballot where he was selected to one of the three teams. Crosswhite holds a perfect 4.0 GPA and is majoring in organizational leadership.

The senior from Hood River, Ore., Crosswhite is majoring in organizational leadership and returned for the 2021 outdoor season putting together another impressive year. He set personal-best marks in both the 800 and 1,500 during the year. Crosswhite set his new PR in the 800 during the Oregon Relays crossing with a time of 1:51.97. Then at the Oregon State High Performance, he set his new best in the 1,500 with a time of 3:50.61. During the GNAC Outdoor Championships, Crosswhite placed second in the 1,500. He ranks ninth in program history for his time in the 1,500 and 10th in program history for his time in the 800. Crosswhite's time in the 800 ranks 46th nationally and his time in the 1,500 ranks 64th nationally.

Earlier this year, Crosswhite was named to the GNAC Academic Team for the fourth straight time. He earned GNAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week on March 15 after he opened the year with a win in the 1,500 at the PNW Team Clash on March 13, winning by four seconds with a time of 3:54.82.
