ESTACADA, Oregon --- While the Western Oregon cross country teams didn't field enough runners to pick up team scores, its young student-athletes picked up key experience Saturday at the Lewis & Clark Invitational.
Four Wolves competed in the men's 8K race - led by
James Lackey's time of 28:30.7 (208th place). He was followed by
Rami Dear (224th, 28:51.2),
Jordan Kemper (226th, 28:53.7) and
Matthew Schenk (29:05.6). In the women's 6KÂ race, two runners finished for WOU in
Emily Moore (147th, 25:48.8) and
Piper Youngmayr (202nd, 27:34.1).
The Wolves return to action next Saturday at the NCAA D2 Pre Nationals in Seattle.
