Hall of Fame
Monica competed on the women's track & field team from 2002-05 and earned multiple All-American honors. She holds the school record in the 100M hurdles with a time of 14.15. She remains on the Wolves' all-time top 10 outdoor track & field list in five events - the 200, 4x400 and 4x100 relays, high jump and heptathlon. She ranks on the top 10 all-time indoor list in the three more events - 60 hurdles, 200 and the high jump.
Monica was named the 2002 WOU Track & Field Fresh-man of the Year and 2003-04 Athlete of the Year. In 2005 she shared the honor with fellow hall of famer Bridget Johnson. Monica was a member of the 2003 GNAC champion 4x400 re-lay, she was the 2004 GNAC high jump and 100m hurdles champion and on the 2005 GNAC 4x100 and 4x400 relay championship teams. The women's team won the GNAC Outdoor Championship three years in a row during her time at WOU. In 2003 and 2005, Monica earned All-American honors at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship in the high jump and 100m hurdles. She was named to the 2005 COSIDA All-American Team.Â
Monica joined the WOU coaching staff from 2012-15 and currently is a timing associate for Athletic Timing.
