Selected in the Meritorious Service category, he was also a standout athlete at OCE from 1955-59...Was an All-Evergreen Conference defensive back on the football team...Still shares the WOU single-game interception record with three (vs. Southern Oregon)...Held the school record in the 880 and wity the 440 relay team...Was the school’s Outstanding Athlete in 1958...Earned his master’s at OCE and his doctorate at Oregon State...Served as Monmouth’s City Manager, and as Western’s Registrar...Began the Wolfpack golf tournament to raise money for athletic scholarships...Very active in many WOU fund raising efforts...Passed away in 2005.
