Tony Burris was a member of the Western Oregon football team from 1985-1987. He was a two-time National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics honorable mention All-American quarterback who played during the highly successful "Air Wolf" era. Led by Burris, the team went 15-4 over two seasons including a trip to the NAIA playoffs in 1985. Burris was a two-time First-Team All-College Football Association selection during his time as a Wolf. He ranks second in WOU career passing yardage, despite playing only two seasons, throwing for 4,791 career yards. Burris is third in career touchdown passes and still ranks in the top 10 at the school for career completions, yards, touchdown passes and completion percentage. Tony went on to play in the Canadian Football League and Arena Football League and now owns a construction business that sticks to his football roots, Red Zone Construction.
